Maintenance Technician- Little Rock, Arkansas

Position Purpose:

This position is responsible to perform maintenance related activities to support operations.  Cooperation with leadership and operations personnel for execution of work to be performed is vital to the success of operations.  Ensure the plant is maintained in a safe, efficient manner, in accordance with plant procedures and local, state, and federal regulations.  Proactive troubleshooting, communication, and resolution of equipment performance issues with the Operations team is required.  This position will require one to be self-motivated, cooperative, reliable, patient, considerate, respectful, flexible and passionate about the work that needs to be done.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Follow all plant safety procedures.
  • Perform LOTO when necessary.
  • Mechanical trouble shooting and problem solving.
  • Minor electrical trouble shooting (unless qualified to do more).
  • Work with production operators to understand and resolve machine issues.
  • Understand and perform preventive maintenance on production machines and equipment.  Keep records up to date.
  • Help maintain inventory of spare parts to keep departments running efficiently.
  • Install new machines and equipment.
  • Ensures work area is clean when finished working on issues, projects, etc.
  • Other duties as assigned by Supervisor or Management.
  • Must be willing to complete company sponsored training recommended by management team/

Other Qualifications:

  • Significant experience in diagnosis and repair of industrial machines and equipment.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
  • Must be able to work overtime when required.

Physical Requirements: 

  • Must be able to climb, stand, bend, stoop, push, pull, and lift, for a 12 hour shift.
  • Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs alone and up to 80 lbs with assistance.
  • Must be able to lift 30-35 lb boxes of product repeatedly throughout the shift.
